I'm the owner and operator of Suite Hospitalities of South Texas, an Airbnb/Short-Term management company that knows exactly what you're looking for.

I started my journey in short-term rentals back in December 2019, when I set up my 2-bed, 2-bath mobile home with full furnishings for a Winter Texan that ultimately fell through. But instead of letting it go to waste, my girlfriend suggested that I list it on Airbnb. And with that, I found myself on a path that would change my life forever.

Of course, I didn’t just jump into it blindly. I spent several weeks researching the ins and outs of Airbnb, learning about what makes a good host, what amenities guests appreciate the most, and what makes for a great, comfortable, and memorable experience. Armed with my newfound knowledge, I created my listing in mid-December and published it on Airbnb. And within minutes, I had my first booking!

Like you, I was cautious and hesitant. But I made a commitment to do my utmost best in providing a pleasant, comfortable, and relaxing experience for my guests. And it paid off – I’ve had over 70 guests visit my home through Airbnb and VRBO, all while maintaining a hospitality-centered experience.

Of course, running a successful short-term rental isn’t just about providing a nice space. I’ve learned the importance of hospitality-centered business communication, keeping the guest experience as the focus of our operations. I’ve also kept up with the ever-changing “interest based” algorithms of Airbnb and VRBO software to keep my listings competitive and occupied. And I’ve applied dynamic pricing strategies to account for demand fluctuations and ultimately keep myself booked and profitable and my mission is to apply these same principles to your listings.
